Longs American Bulldogs has agreed to uphold the code of ethics below and the spirit of responsible breeding and breed integrity that it represents.
1.
We will maintain a sanitary, healthy and safe environment for all
dogs/puppies under our care.
2.
We will comply with all necessary medical treatment and/or
prophylactic treatment as well.
3.
We will breed solely for the purpose of maintaining or improving
the integrity of the breed.
4.
We will provide information on the characteristics of the breed to
all interested parties.
5.
We will stay well informed in the field of genetics and work to
eliminate hereditary defects from the breed.
6.
We will not knowingly misrepresent the characteristics of the
breed nor mislead any person regarding the performance of any
dogs and/or puppies for sale.
7.
We will not breed any dog beyond an appropriate age for
breeding.
8.
We will refrain from further use of an animal for breeding if the
dog or bitch has produced any offspring with serious inherited
defects detrimental to an animals well being (physically or
mentally), and has produced like results with a different mating
partner.
9.
We will not produce wholesale litters of puppies, sell to Brokers
or Pet Shops, provide any animal for prize or raffle purposes: nor
use a stud dog in like manner.
10. We will keep all puppies with the litter until at least eight (8)
weeks of age.
11. We will maintain accurate records including stud service
contract, pedigrees and records regarding to the sale of dogs
and puppies.
12. We agree to be a resource for buyers of puppies and/or dogs
that we have sold for the life of the dog. Our Ethics and an
outline about the Longs as dog lovers, we believe that the health
of our canine family comes first and we are proud to be an
ethical family and not a kennel. We do not believe in showing
or breeding dogs that must be medicated in order to survive or
that are enhanced with steroids or other medications. Our dogs
are exhibited only in their natural state and a healthy dog is a
happy dog. Championship titles are nice, but do NOT guarantee
the health and soundness of the dog that carries the title or the
offspring that these dogs may produce. Realistically, the
majority of the general public is not looking to show, breed or
campaign their dog. They are looking for a healthy and sound
"canine" to be a member of the family that is a good
representative of whatever breed they have chosen.

Well taken care of puppies
Purchasing your puppy from a Pet Shop or from an uninformed or unethical breeder can be a very risky and costly choice.
A dog does not have to have a puppy or sire one to be happy or to feel fulfilled in life.
